The IS220PAICH1A model is described as an analog I/O package that has been approved for use in hazardous and non-hazardous locations. On the front side of the model, there are four indicators. There is also a port on the bottom, which is described as an I/O port. The PAIC battery pack can use a variety of voltages, the minimum voltage of the PAIC battery pack is 27.4 volts DC.

Because the IS220PAICH1A kit is capable of being used in many locations, various certifications have been obtained, some of which are Hazardous Sites, Zone 1 Group 2 Iics, Zone 1 Group 2 A, B, C, D and ATEX Zone 2, IIC Group and non-hazardous Sites. The following certifications are used in locations, UL E207685 and UL DEMKO 12 ATEX 1114875X, please note that UL E207685 certifications are used in many locations.

The IS220PAICH1A unit can be used in three models, namely the IS200STAIH1A and IS200STAIH2A, and the IS20TBAIH1C model. All of these models are referred to as input/output terminals.

The typical location for a PAIC I/O package will be in one of the two available VME racks, i.e. 13 or 21 slot racks. Note that this device is often used with triple modular redundant architecture systems. The TMR system has a separate control module, I/O network, and main processor card.
